In 2010, our CEO and Owner began her journey studying and mastering diverse ancient spiritual and archaeological systems to unearth the origins of our civilization. In 2015, she received a Grant from The Puffin Foundation to excavate the historical etymologies of Divine Feminine and Matriarchal Goddess Archetypes as a solution to varying forms of socialized misogyny and sexism in private and public spaces.
Between 2015 - 2025, J.R. has devoted her independent scholarly Grant-funded research to Ancient and Pre-Colonial Matriarchal and Matrifocal Societies. In 2025, she received a Graduate Certification in Applied Mythology, from Pacifica Graduate Institute.
These pursuits have influenced her career as the Owner of Al-Kīmiyā Aakemaj, a women’s divine feminine apparel company practicing the ancient art of “divine adornment.”
